Site Drainage Quality Control

Is your site drainage being installed correctly on your ground-up construction project?

Here's our checklist from Shettig Construction Mgmt

1) Are the catch basins and manholes properly located?

2) Do they have the correct rim elevation?

3) Is the storm drainage pipe of the proper material and size? (Check the drawings)

4) Are the trenches properly shored or sloped?

5) Do the trenches have the correct bedding material?

6) Are back-filling procedures being adhered to?

7) Is the proper bedding installed around the pipe?

8) Is the layered material compacted in lifts? 

9) Has the soil engineer tested and certified the compaction methods?

10) Review the safety shoring requirements for excavation over 5'.



11) Have the contractor clean all catch basins and flush storm drain lines before the job acceptances.
